Services
Three phases, in order of commitment. Each is fixed-scope with a clear deliverable, and each one has to earn the next. No open-ended retainers. New to AI? Good. We start small on purpose.
Scope
Priced on paper before anything gets built.
Every engagement starts with a paid scoping phase. The fee is fixed, quoted before work starts, and credits in full toward your build if you go ahead within 45 days. Worst case, you're out the fee and you own a concrete plan for solving your problems. There are two versions, and the free fit call ends with a recommendation on which one fits you.
Fit & Options
For a problem you can already point at.
What it takes from you: One working session, a call or a visit, plus a short list of real numbers from your business: volumes, prices, the things you already know. That's it.
What you get: Within five business days: a short written report laying out your real options, priced. That includes a do-it-yourself path spelled out completely enough to follow on your own, and what it would cost to have me handle it instead. Every option covers what it solves, what it doesn't, what it costs up front and monthly, and what happens if something breaks. You pick. Any of the answers is a fine outcome.
Cost: A small fixed fee, quoted on the fit call. Credits in full toward the work if you move forward within 45 days.
Systems Roadmap
For a goal that's stuck, when it isn't obvious what's in the way.
What it takes from you: A short questionnaire and a pre-call up front, then five hours on site with you and the people who actually run the work. If you have a strategic plan or quarterly priorities, we start from those.
What you get: About a week later: a written roadmap. Your core workflows mapped as they actually run, each problem priced in hours and dollars with the evidence behind every number, and a straight recommendation: build something, buy something off the shelf, or get more out of a tool you already own. If a build makes sense, the roadmap includes a fixed price for it, so you have a real decision in front of you instead of a maybe.
Cost: $2,500 introductory rate ($3,500 standard). Credits in full toward the first build within 45 days.
The document is yours to keep. Every number in it is tagged by how it was verified: counted from your real data, checked on site, or your estimate, marked as such. Nothing gets priced off an unchecked guess. And the recommendation is allowed to be "don't hire me." If the right answer is a $150-a-month tool or a setting in software you already pay for, that's what the report will say.
Build
Custom software for your real problems.
Software built on your real workflows and your team's real knowledge, not a template. Fixed bid, paid by milestone. The lowest-risk work runs first, so the system proves itself on safe ground before anything customer-facing or critical depends on it.
What this can look like: a customer conversation system that handles routine questions so your people handle the relationships. Internal tools that put your team's knowledge somewhere findable instead of in one person's head. Automation for the paperwork nobody was hired to do.
You get:
- Working software
- A knowledge base your team approves line by line and you own outright
- An evaluation report showing how the system performs before it ever matters
Your data stays yours. The knowledge base is yours. If we part ways, everything portable goes with you.
Run
Ongoing, only after a build proves itself.
When a system earns its place, we keep it earning: production deployment, monitoring, monthly measurement, and a clean handoff process for the conversations that need a person. A modest monthly fee that steps with how much the system actually does. Usage costs pass through at cost, never marked up.
Also in this lane: already chose an off-the-shelf tool you like? We'll help you implement it well and build the knowledge foundation underneath, the part that makes any tool work better and keeps you free to switch later.
Frequently asked
- We're in our busy season. Can we talk later this year?
- Absolutely. Scoping is small by design: the fit call takes 30 minutes, and your written document arrives within about a week of the scoping session. The document doesn't expire, either. Many owners scope during the busy season and build after it.
- I want something proven that other businesses already use.
- Fair. Engagements start small and run lowest-risk first, so nothing important depends on us until we've proven ourselves in your business. You own everything we build, so you're never locked in. And when a proven off-the-shelf tool is the right answer, we'll tell you and help you implement it.
- We already picked a tool. Can you help us implement it?
- Great. We do that. We'll also build the knowledge foundation underneath it, the part that makes any tool actually work and keeps you free to switch if a better one comes along.
- This is all new for us. We want to take baby steps.
- Perfect. That's the design, not a compromise. Small scope first, fixed milestones, lowest-risk work first. You approve every step before the next one starts.
- Will this replace my employees?
- It's designed not to. We build tools that take the draining work off your people's plates so they can do higher-value work, and we put that commitment in writing.
- Do customers know they're talking to AI?
- Always.
- What does it cost?
- Every phase has a fixed price you see before work starts. The fit call is free. Scoping is a fixed fee quoted up front, and builds are quoted as a fixed bid before any build work begins. No surprise invoices.
